About Frankie

Frantz A. Edouard Jr., born on September 15, 1987, in Boston, Massachusetts at Beth Israel Hospital, was a vibrant force of nature who left an indelible mark on all those fortunate enough to know him. His unexpected passing on Friday, October 29, 2021, at his home in Baltimore, Maryland, at the age of 34, left a void that echoed the dynamism and passion with which he approached every aspect of life.

Affectionately known as “Frankie,” Frantz was not only a dedicated professional in the field of nursing but also a devoted guardian of his friends and family. A graduate of Northeastern University in 2010 with a degree in Nursing, he made the move from Cambridge, MA, to Baltimore, MD, where he found a city he loved and considered home.

Frantz embarked on his nursing career at John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD, serving as a registered nurse while pursuing his master’s degree to become a nurse practitioner. Later, he played a pivotal role in the growth of Advanced PICC Line Specialists as Nursing Director, contributing to the establishment of their presence in proactive vascular access planning. Simultaneously, he shared his expertise as an adjunct professor and nursing instructor.

Known for his talent, dedication, and spirited approach to his work, Frankie’s passion for nursing was matched only by his sincere concern for people. Beyond his professional endeavors, he was a spirited adventurer with a love for travel, exploring various states and countries. Frankie always had a lively schedule, whether it involved attending a sports event, concert, planning a Broadway trip or spending time with his 3 beloved cats and numerous extended family and friends.

His commitment to relationships was evident in his prioritization of moments both big and small. From celebrating holidays, birthdays, and new arrivals to unexpectedly dropping by for a visit, Frankie’s thoughtfulness, loyalty, kindness, and generosity touched the lives of those around him.

In honoring Frantz A. Edouard Jr., we remember not only a professional leader in nursing but also a dynamic, loving soul who brought joy, surprise, and an abundance of care to everyone fortunate enough to be a part of his world.
His strength, compassion, and zeal for life, will remain and continue to inspire all the people he touched during his time here with us.
