Cultivating Our Children

Cultivating Our Children’s goal is to promote biblical principles, friendships, strong interpersonal skills, and give a better future to young children between the ages of 7 to 14 in the province of Moron, which is located in Haiti. It is our belief that with the right values and guidance we can nurture children into a better future. Cultivating Our Children’s goal is to open doors for the children in Moron, Haiti and give them hope.

Our Mission Statement

To improve the lives of children ages 7 to 14 who were born from young mothers in Haiti through strategic long-term investments in educational and spiritual programs.

Services

We offer reading, writing, math, and biblical lessons to kids ages 7 to 14. We also offer painting, technology, counseling, and healthcare training. We provide music, art and theatre classes. We have a feeding program that feeds the children as well as the seniors who are disabled in the community. We provide basic toiletry/ clothing to those who are in need. As part of the program the youth take part in weekly outreach in Moron by providing services to senior citizens that aren’t able to help themselves. They also distribute free dinner every Sunday to senior citizens in the area with disabilities.

Moron, Haiti

Moron (Haitian Creole: Mowan) is a commune in the Jérémie Arrondissement in the Grand’Anse Department of Haiti. It has more than 30,000 inhabitants. Villages located within the commune include: Moron, Gros Morone, La Roche, Layalace, Lenaire, Pilk, & Sources Chaudes.
